BEGINNER latex workshop SATURDAY JUNE 20
During this one-day workshop, you’ll learn everything about working with latex and go home with a self-made latex garment!
The workshop will take place from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on SATURDAY JUNE 20, at Zonnebaan 12C in Utrecht.
The workshop will be given in Dutch unless there are non-Dutch participants. In that case we will switch to English.
The price includes materials, patterns, coffee, tea, and lunch.
Maximum 6 participants.
What to expect during this workshop:
We’ll start the day with some theory and an explanation of what you need when working with latex.
Using small pieces of latex, you’ll practice how to glue straight and curved seams and how to use latex strips for finishing edges.
Next, we’ll cut your chosen item from latex using the patterns.
Then we’ll have lunch.
The rest of the afternoon is for creating your latex garment.

What’s available for you during the workshop:
Lots of information (but not so much that your head explodes — plus, you’ll get a document afterward with useful tips and links)
A good balance of theory and practice
Cutting mats, rotary cutters, and rollers for everyone to use
Latex scraps to practice with
Latex for your chosen item
Coffee, tea, cookies, and a basic lunch
What will you take home at the end of the workshop?
A small bottle of latex glue
The pattern you've used
And of course, your handmade latex garment!
You’ll spend most of the day standing (as it’s easiest to work at the higher tables in the studio), so wear comfortable shoes.
The workshop really runs from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. If you don’t finish your latex item in time, you’ll need to complete it at home. :)
